New Shop Columbia County First Logo Unveiled
The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce and the Columbia County Board of Supervisors announce the launch a new Shop Columbia County First logo in conjunction with the 2003 Shop Columbia County First Back to School Campaign that will run from August 18 – September 12.
This annual campaign, funded by the Columbia County Board of Supervisors, encourages residents to do their back to school shopping in Columbia County and support the local merchants while at the same time, setting a multiplier effect into motion. Purchasing locally re-circulates money through the local community, maintaining jobs and keeping Columbia County's economy growing.
The new logo, along with the current print and video campaign, designed by Midhudsonmedia, will be e-mailed to members of the Chamber of Commerce, Main Street business alliances and associations, as well as the county Supervisors.
In addition, a Shop Columbia County First “bug” will be available for download through the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce web site at www.columbiachamber-ny.com, as well as the site for the Columbia County Department of Tourism at www.columbiacountyny.org.
This “bug” should be placed on any marketing materials or web sites where community pride and advancing the economic strength of our county are desired. For web applications the “bug” will link to current campaign initiatives as well as a list of reasons why residents should “Shop Columbia County First”
