2011 Entrepreneur Showcase
and
Resource Exchange
Slow Money NYC is a network of food activists, investors and entrepreneurs. We
nurture a range of conversations in order to actively develop funding and investment
channels for local and sustainable food enterprises. Our work is based on principles
of collaborative knowledge sharing, mutually reinforcing relationships, community
participation, fairness, diversity and non-violence.
We create the space and opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase their businesses,
create partnerships, and tap into resources that will help them build productive,
ecologically friendly enterprises. We believe the foundation for a just, healthy and
sustainable economy is a local food system grounded in a soil to soil model.
Slow Money NYC seeks social entrepreneurs involved with the food system who
require financing to present their business so that we may better assist you in finding
the financing you need. To put some names and faces to these ideas, please see slowmoneynyc.org and visit the Slow Money NYC Meet Up site.
Slow Money NYC is one of many Slow Money chapters throughout the United
States and Canada. For an overview of the national organization, please read more at slowmoney.org. |
